Summary
Amends the
Australia New Zealand Food Authority Act 1991
to implement a new food regulatory system as agreed to by the Council of Australian Governments, including the establishment of a new authority, Food Standards Australia New Zealand, and a new Ministerial Council. Also makes a technical correction to the
Australia New Zealand Food Authority Amendment Act (No. 2) 1997
and consequential amendments to 5 other Acts.
